Dr. Mesri is a registered psychological assistant (PSB94025079) completing her postdoc at the OCD & Anxiety Program of Southern California. She completed her internship at the West Los Angeles Veteran’s Healthcare System and received her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Developmental Psychology from UCLA. She has also received her BA in Psychology summa cum laude from UCLA. Both her clinical and research passions focus on improving the lives of individuals with anxiety disorders. She has presented her findings at national conferences and published manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Mesri utilizes psychotherapeutic techniques that have been proven to work in scientific settings, namely Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She then tailors these treatments to match each individual that walks through her door because she understands that every person has a unique trajectory. She uses measures to track people’s progress and ensure that they are moving in the direction that they desire. She has worked with diverse individuals including children, adolescents, and adults in a number of settings including a community mental health center, research clinic, hospital, and residential program. She also has trained in providing evidence-based treatments in a tele-mental health setting, so that she may help people from their homes.
