Outpatient Clinic

The Outpatient Clinic at the OCD & Anxiety Program of Southern California provides specialty treatment for anxiety, phobias and depression. Our expert therapists have all received intensive training in treating these disorders. They utilize evidence based treatment, particularly Cognitive Behavior Therapy, for children, adolescents, adults, older adults, families and couples.  Therapists work collaboratively with clients to develop an individualized plan that maximizes the probability of a successful outcome.

We offer psychotherapy for a broad range of psychological concerns including:

Anxiety Disorders:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Social Anxiety
  • Specific Phobias
  • Panic Disorder
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Depression and Other Disorders:

  • Adjustment Disorder
  • Depression
  • Interpersonal and relationship issues

OC Spectrum Disorders:

  • Health Anxiety/ Hypochondriasis
  • Body Dysmorphic Disorder
  • Tourette Syndrome
  • Trichotillomania
  • Compulsive Skin Picking

Outpatient Clinic services may include the following:

  • Diagnostic assessment
  • Individualized treatment plan development
  • Clinician assisted exposure and response prevention
  • Behavior and goal planning to promote continued practice at home
  • Cognitive treatment to address maladaptive and erroneous beliefs
  • In vivo exposures and/or imaginal exposures
  • Other effective treatment interventions are implemented as warranted
  • In-home visits (as needed)
  • Family interventions to reduce accommodation (as needed)
  • Consultation with schools (as needed) and with clergy (as needed for scrupulosity)
