Dr. Todd Brown is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of California (#32397), New York (#024543), and Delaware (#B1-0011277). He completed his post-doctoral fellowship here at the OCD & Anxiety Program of Southern California with a focus on OCD; anxiety and depression disorders; and body-focused repetitive behaviors. He completed his clinical internship in the Child and Adolescent Psychology Track at NYU Child Study Center/Bellevue Hospital in New York, NY, where he treated clients with a range of concerns including anxiety- and depression-related disorders, child behavioral problems, attention difficulties, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA, his M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University, and his B.S. in Symbolic Systems, conferred with distinction, from Stanford University.
Via his training, Dr. Brown has worked in a variety of treatment settings, including an OCD intensive outpatient program, a partial hospitalization program, an academic medical center, hospital inpatient settings, a community mental health clinic, an integrated primary-care/gender-health program, and a university training clinic. He has experience working with diverse populations using evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), including exposure and response prevention (ERP); acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT); dialectical behavior therapy (DBT); and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT).
Dr. Brown has expertise in working with children (ages 6-11), adolescents (ages 12-19), and adults (ages 20+) with a special interest in treating OCD, OCD-related disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression. Dr. Brown has presented findings from his research and clinical experiences at annual conferences for the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. Prior to his psychology career, he worked as a project manager within the tech and management consulting field.
