Advancing Global OCD Care: International B4DT Symposium in Singapore
Over 350 clinicians and researchers from around the world gathered in Singapore for an inspiring, high-energy, and deeply collaborative International OCD Symposium, focused on advancing evidence-based treatment and strengthening global dissemination—with the shared goal of ensuring that effective care reaches those who need it most.

Teams joined us from Australia, New Zealand, China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Germany, the United States, and beyond. The primary focus of the meeting was the Bergen 4-Day Treatment (B4DT) for OCD, with discussions centered on how to build upon this model by integrating intention-focused work and expanding intensive treatment approaches across anxiety disorders and related conditions.
This international conference and dissemination effort was made possible through the generous support of Kavlifondet, whose commitment to advancing mental health innovation continues to have a meaningful global impact.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Jackki Yim and Tammie Kwek, our outstanding colleagues in Singapore, for organizing this event through the OCD Network of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, with support from the Institute of Mental Health (IMH).
Dr. Bjarne Hansen provided extraordinary leadership throughout the symposium, sharing the remarkable journey of Norway’s mental health care transformation, the development of B4DT, and exciting new directions for the future of intensive treatment delivery.

More information about B4DT training and clinical opportunities through the OCD & Anxiety Program of Southern California will be shared soon—stay tuned.
