Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Anushka Gokhale is a licensed clinical psychologist (#33499) in the state of California. She received her B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of La Verne. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Western Youth Services in Anaheim, CA. There, she provided evidence-based therapeutic services to treat a variety of mental health conditions in children and adolescents, engaged in multidisciplinary consultation, conducted psychodiagnostic evaluations, and received training in empirically based treatments. She completed her postdoctoral hours at Rogers Behavioral Health, Los Angeles, where she provided intensive treatment for OCD, anxiety disorders, and depression at both intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care.

Dr. Gokhale has trained in various treatment settings. She has provided outpatient treatment in community mental health programs, intensive OCD treatment in a university hospital setting, and intensive OCD treatment in a partial hospitalization program. She is interested in raising awareness about childhood anxiety and OCD and increasing the use of Exposure and Response Prevention among treatment providers. Clinically, Dr. Gokhale primarily utilizes behavioral treatment (Exposure and Response Prevention) as well as mindfulness-based therapies. When treating children and adolescents, Dr. Gokhale values collaboration and works with the client’s support network, including their families, schools, and medical professionals. She is passionate about serving children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with OCD and anxiety and helping them embrace discomfort and uncertainty.
