Emily Hanna, PsyD, LCSW joins the OCD & Anxiety Program of Southern California

We are excited to announce that Emily Hanna PsyD, LCSW joined the OCD & Anxiety Program of Southern California in September of 2023. Dr. Emily Hanna is a registered psychological associate (PSB94027714) completing her post-doctoral fellowship at the OCD & Anxiety Program of Southern California, and a licensed clinical social worker in the states of California and Michigan. She received her BA from Scripps College of the Claremont Colleges and MSW from the University of Michigan. During her master’s program, she completed her clinical internship at the Michigan Medicine Department of Psychiatry Child OCD & Anxiety Disorders Program (COAP). She then completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, during which she received specialized training through the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Child OCD Intensive Outpatient Program and Depression Grand Challenge Innovative Treatment Network. Dr. Hanna has contributed to multiple clinical studies at the University of Michigan and UCLA aimed to optimize treatment for OCD, social anxiety, panic, and depression.

Dr. Hanna completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center where she provided individual, family, and group treatment to children and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings facing various mental health challenges. There, she conducted comprehensive psychological assessment with an emphasis on evaluating children on the autism spectrum with comorbid OCD. Additionally, she holds an advanced certification in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and incorporates mindfulness-based interventions in compassionate, evidence-based care. Dr. Hanna is passionate about providing collaborative treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults with OCD, anxiety, and body-focused repetitive behaviors.
